Krista Bannon, M.D. is a board certified General Surgeon with five years of experience. She has specialized experience in vascular surgeries and now serves at our vein center in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Dr. Bannon completed her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois and received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Pre-Med. She then continued her education at Meharry Medical College in Nashville Tennessee and matriculated into General Surgery Residency there. During her training as vascular resident and chief at Providence Hospital and Health Systems, she completed three times the required amount of open and endovascular operative vascular surgery procedures, including treatments for peripheral vascular disease, diagnostic and therapeutic endovascular intervention, venous disease, and vascular access. She rounded out her operative training with several research publications and a surgical book chapter publication. She has also participated in medical mission work. When asked what drives her in her practice, Dr. Bannon states, “Patient care and surgical excellence are the most valued aspects of my work as a physician.
