Dr. Peter Muscarella II, MD is a board-certified General Surgeon with more than 20 years of experience performing complex surgical procedures at nationally recognized academic medical centers. His current focus is on the minimally invasive management of chronic venous insufficiency. Dr. Muscarella currently serves Metro Vein Centers South Bronx and Yonkers locations.
Dr. Muscarella received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Rochester and his MD from New York Medical College. He completed his residency training in General Surgery at The Ohio State University during which time he performed a two-year research fellowship. Dr. Muscarella was an Associate Professor of Surgery with Tenure at The Ohio State University and a Professor of Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Muscarella has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and is active in several national surgical organizations and editorial review boards.
