Alejandro Bernal, MD is a board-certified physician who brings years of hands-on medical experience to his role as a vein specialist at Metro Vein Centers. He has a strong foundation in general surgery, research, and minimally invasive vein treatments, helping patients find relief from varicose veins, spider veins, and chronic venous insufficiency.
Dr. Bernal completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Program, where he was selected as Chief Resident in recognition of his leadership and commitment to patient-centered care. His training also includes a general surgery residency at the University of Texas Health San Antonio and a research fellowship with the RESTOR Research Program in San Antonio.
At Metro Vein Centers, Dr. Bernal performs minimally invasive treatments for varicose and spider veins, including radiofrequency ablation, ultrasound-guided and visual sclerotherapy, laser vein removal, Varithena®, and VenaSeal™. He is committed to providing effective, personalized care using state-of-the-art technology to deliver real relief and help his patients feel their best.
Dr. Bernal is bilingual in English and Spanish and is passionate about expanding access to high-quality vein care for diverse communities.
