Vein disease symptoms can vary greatly, but should always be taken seriously. If you experience any of the following symptoms in your legs, you may want to consider being evaluated by one of our vein specialists:

  • Swelling, aching pain – often worse at night
  • Pruritus (itching of the legs)
  • Fatigue and/or heaviness
  • Night cramps
  • Restless legs
  • Numbness or tingling
  • Burning or throbbing veins
  • Bulging or enlarged veins raised above the skin surface (varicose veins)
  • Small, red/blue, web-like veins close to the skin surface (spider veins)

It’s important to note that vein disease symptoms typically get worse later in the day, in hot weather, and with long periods of standing or sitting. However, they can improve with leg elevation or aerobic activity.
