Nihas Wagal, DO, DABVLM, is a board-certified physician specializing in the treatment of vein and vascular conditions, including chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins, and spider veins. He is recognized as a Diplomate by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine for his excellence in the field of vein treatment. This is a distinction awarded to only the top 1% of vein specialists nationwide.
Dr. Wagal obtained his medical degree at Williams Carey University and subsequently completed his residency training at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in New York City. He currently sees patients in our Houston vein clinics where he dedicates his time to providing patient-centric and fully customized care to help relieve unique and varying symptoms of vein disease.
Dr. Wagal is passionate about patient education while providing the best possible evidence-based care for his patients. This has led him to pursue extensive training in the treatment of venous related issues using ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, endovenous radiofrequency and laser ablations. He believes that the best experiences in medical environments are when both doctor and patient are on the same page, and he spends extra time with patients to answer all their questions before they leave his clinic.
