Gregory Barnes, MD, FACS, is a board-certified surgeon and vein specialist with over 25 years of clinical and surgical experience. Dr. Barnes is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a designation of distinction for surgeons who have met rigorous standards for education, training, and professional conduct.
In addition to his surgical experience, Dr. Barnes is a respected medical contributor with numerous published abstracts, articles, and presentations. He serves patients at Metro Vein Centers clinics in Fort Worth and Dallas, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of venous diseases and conditions including varicose veins, spider veins, and chronic venous insufficiency.
Dr. Barnes earned his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Arlington, where he graduated summa cum laude, and his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed his general surgery residency at Temple University Medical School’s Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.

Residency: Completed a General Surgery Residency in June 2004 at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Temple University Medical School, Western Clinical Campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
