William Kent Johnson, MD, FACS, RPVI, is a board-certified surgeon and vein specialist with over three decades of experience in general and venous surgery. He is highly skilled in ultrasound-based diagnosis and minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins, spider veins, and chronic venous insufficiency.
Dr. Johnson earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed his general surgery residency across multiple hospitals within the Texas Medical Center in Houston, and served as Chief Surgical Resident at St. Joseph Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and holds RPVI certification in vascular ultrasound interpretation.
Across his career, Dr. Johnson has held multiple leadership roles in surgical and vascular care and brings extensive training in laser ablation, sclerotherapy, and advanced venous ultrasound. Dr. Johnson utilizes advanced diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided techniques, allowing state-of-the-art interventions without surgery. He has spent decades treating patients with complex venous conditions throughout Texas.
Outside the clinic, he enjoys playing guitar, gardening, astronomy, and restoring classic cars.
